It's the short "off-season". I'm
working on this website and sponsor relations, and
preparing for the upcoming training season in Park City.

Welcome! |
|
My third full season of competing freestyle
aerials has just finished. I am happy to say
that it went very well for me. We traveled
quite a bit for competitions this winter, so
I jumped on a number of different
sites and learned a lot in the process.
I competed in the NorAm Grand Prix (a step
below World Cups) again, which is a series
of five competitions held in North America.
Two of these were at Mont Gabriel, Quebec
where I stuck my landings in competition and
took 2nd place both days! I ended up
finishing 2nd overall on the Grand Prix!
Another season highlight was at Snowbowl,
Montana where I won Northern Divisionals and
am now 2007 Northern Division Champion!
Throughout the season I mainly competed a
layout (straight body back flip) and a
lay-tuck (double back flip). Then, during
training on the day of Nationals in
Killington, Vermont I decided to attempt a
jump I had previously qualified on water but
had never done on snow. I tried two lay-fulls
(double back flip with a 360° spin in the
second flip) in training and decided to do
it in competition. I ended up competing my
lay-full and lay-tuck finishing 8th at
Nationals! This was my first time doing two
doubles in a competition!
I ended the season ranked 5th on the USSA
points list and 4th in the United States.
With this ranking and my overall finish on
the Grand Prix, I am very excited to
announce that I have made the US Ski Team!
